5 x 2-hour sessions (social package)
Spice up & confidently progress in your learning with live sessions, where you can exchange experiences & delve deeper into topics of interest with an accredited trainer & like-minded peers!
In this Chapter, you will learn to recognise and convincingly communicate how measuring and managing impacts can generate benefits for your work. You will understand what social impact is and the ways to assess it based on the five dimensions of impact and the eight Principles of Social Value. Moreover, we will learn to recognise the different impact management approaches, their advantages, limits and relationships.
By the end of the second chapter you will be able to analyse a social or environmental problem by conducting root-cause analysis and define strong and compelling impact goals for an organisation. You will also learn how to create a powerful Theory of Change, or in other words a plan for achieving your impact goals.
In Chapter 3, you will learn to identify stakeholders and meaningfully segment them as well as to define relevant outputs and outcomes (effects or changes) to report and improve. This will allow you to apply the materiality test to prioritize what really matters.
By the end of this chapter, you will be able to find appropriate indicators to measure outcomes and define thresholds. We will learn to set thresholds to identify expected amounts of change and identify the duration of these changes and when we are accountable for them. Lastly, you will be capable to measure change against a baseline and create a questionnaire to capture and analyse data for reporting and improvements.
In this chapter, you will learn to attribute value to stakeholder changes in expected outcomes and report and identify improvements through valuation techniques, including the social value and SROI calculation. By the end of the Chapter, you will be able to successfully plan to achieve positive impacts that are valuable to society and the planet.
By the end of Chapter 6, you will be able to identify and assess the counterfactual or ‘what could have happened anyway’ - otherwise known as deadweight as well as the contribution/attribution factor of others which affects your impact. You will also learn to determine the net impact of your contribution and evaluate it to properly report and identify improvements.
This last chapter is all about impact management: you will learn to transparently report impact results to external stakeholders and leverage your results to support strategic and operational decision-making. Moreover, you will be able to recognise the importance of embedding impact management and identify the key requirements to creating a culture of impact management in an organisation.

I think the social value and SROI course provides an integral overview of Impact Management and Measurement. I am very happy with the course. Thank you!
I am a very practical person, so I mostly enjoyed the video content with examples, step-by-step guidance, and testimonials from experiences.
The social value and SROI course put a structure around some of what I was doing and showed me how to extend my practice. I’m currently embedding the principles into one of my programs.
Content, visuals, testimonials and passionate delivery – all great.
The course was excellent. The practical examples and insights helped me understand how to apply the principles to my own work. I would recommend this course to people wanting to maximise their impact.

The self-paced course allowed me to be flexible about when I can do the modules and chapters, but more cohort opportunities would have been great since I would have loved to follow the course live.
