SDG Impact Standards

Learn how to use the SDG impact standards for sound impact management and reporting.

The Current Challenge

The year 2023 marks the midpoint in humanity’s commitment to achieving the UN SDGs. Sadly, the latest Global Sustainable Development Report signals that we are seriously off-track to achieving the SDGs, and even more so than four years ago. Unless significant course correction actions are undertaken, our vulnerability to future crises becomes real.

For enterprises, this means taking steps to integrate impact management practices at the core of business strategy and operations becomes urgent and important.

A study published by PwC in 2019 shows that 72% of companies mention the SDGs in their annual reporting, only 25% refer to SDG in their business strategy and just 1% report measures of SDG progress.

This data calls for accelerated adoption of SDG impact standards.
