SDG Impact Standards for Enterprises Training Course
Learn how to use the SDG impact standards for sound impact management and reporting.
The current challenge
The year 2023 marks the midpoint in humanity’s commitment to achieving the UN SDGs. Sadly, the latest Global Sustainable Development Report signals that we are seriously off-track to achieving the SDGs, and even more so than four years ago. Unless significant course correction actions are undertaken, our vulnerability to future crises becomes real.
For enterprises, this means taking steps to integrate impact management practices at the core of business strategy and operations becomes urgent and important.
A study published by PwC in 2019 shows that 72% of companies mention the SDGs in their annual reporting, only 25% refer to SDG in their business strategy and just 1% report measures of SDG progress.
This data calls for accelerated adoption of SDG impact standards.
If you...
- have been communicating about the SDGs in your reporting but struggle to see how to actively manage your SDG impact contributions
- seek a roadmap to integrate sustainability at the core of strategy, management and reporting work
- are looking for a standard that will support reporting that is aligned with CSRD and ISSB
- Then this training programme is likely to be game-changing for you.
Learning goals
- Discover how to integrate SDG impact contribution into your business strategy
- Identify what material sustainability issues to manage as priority
- Define relevant impact goals and targets aligned with the SDGs
- Recognise the impact data you need to collect to report trustworthy information
- Leverage data to inform decisions and report in line with standards (CSRD, ISSB, etc.)
By the end of the course, you should have completed the SDG Impact Self-Assessment Tool to identify priority gaps to tackle in your current practice.
