Course Modules

Session 1: A Fair Valuation

The first session will set the scene, cover key terms and introduce the entrepreneur’s and investor’s perspective on the valuation process. We will discover what it means to fairly value an impact venture and discuss progressive practices.

Self-paced online module: Mainstream Valuation Techniques

In between the live sessions, you’ll be invited to refresh mainstream valuation techniques. This 1H self-paced module allows participants to progress at their own speed. Thanks to an impact venture valuation case study, templates and databases for multiples, you’ll be well-prepared to put gained knowledge into practice.

Session 2: Impact Venture Value Drivers

In the second session, we will untangle the relationship between financial and impact performance and delve into impact trade-offs and alignment in the business model of impact ventures.

Session 3: Integrated Valuation

In the final session, we will discuss the link between P&L, balance sheet and valuation and dive into a role play to practise your learnings based on a case study. We will wrap up with a future outlook on upcoming methodologies, influencing the space in the years ahead.

Our Expert Trainers

The training is developed with the European Center for Social Finance, a boutique expert on financing social services and social innovation.

Dr. Wolfgang Spiess-Knafl works on the development of the social finance market in Europe since 2016. He has advised and trained dozens of investors and entrepreneurs on deal-making and valuation. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley and completed his doctoral studies with a focus on social finance.

2. Can I request an invoice?

Yes, you can request an invoice at support@efiko.academy before or after your purchase of the course. Please make sure to provide us with your company name, tax number and headquarter address.

3. What will be the language of the course?

The e-learning is delivered in English. The e-learning course includes English subtitles.

4. Can I sign up for a course with my team or department?

Sure, reach out to support@efiko.academy if you wish to take the course with several colleagues, partners or other constituencies.

5. How secure are the payments made on Efiko?

Every transaction on Efiko is performed and secured using Stripe, an international reliable payment processor.

6. Can I pay even if my native currency is not the Euro?

Efiko Academy is located in Europe and its official currency is therefore the Euro (€). This does not mean that you cannot pay with another currency. Stripe, our payment processor, offers payments in 130+ different currencies. PayPal also allows you to make a transfer using a vast array of currencies. 7. Can I get reimbursed in case I’m not satisfied with the course?

Yes, we do offer reimbursement on the course in case you’re not satisfied with it. The reimbursement applies following these conditions:

a) Up to 15 calendar days after you enrolled on the course;
b) The guarantee applies up until you consume 20% of the course content.

8. Is this a course for beginners or experts?

This course is mainly designed to train beginners to intermediate-level impact finance practitioners. The complexity of the content increases with every chapter, but many examples, exercises and case studies will help you build self-confidence and a deep understanding of each dimension of the curriculum.
